Terms of service
Last updated 11 June 2026
Plain English, few surprises: Keen is a noticeboard for plans, you must be 18 and in Singapore, be who you say you are, show up when you say you will — and Singapore law governs the rest.
1. About these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and Keen, operated from Singapore (“Keen”, “we”, “us”). They govern the website at getkeen.sg and the Keen bot on Telegram (together, “the service”).
By joining the waitlist, creating an account, or using the service, you agree to these terms and to the privacy policy. If you don't agree with them, don't use the service.
2. Who can join
Keen is for adults in Singapore. You must be at least 18 years old — a hard floor with no exceptions. Misstating your age ends the account.
Membership is invite-only. Places are offered at our discretion, and we may decline or defer anyone without giving a reason.
3. Your account
One account per person, and it must be yours: the name people actually call you, and real photos of you — at least one clearly showing your face.
You sign in through Telegram or an email link. Keep those channels secure; anyone who holds them can act as you. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been used without your permission. You are responsible for activity on your account.
4. What Keen is — and isn't
Keen is a noticeboard: members post plans with open spots, others pitch to join, and the poster picks. Keen is not a party to any plan. We don't organize, supervise, endorse or guarantee any plan, member or outcome.
Whether to post, pitch, accept or attend is always your decision, and what happens at a meetup is between the people who chose to be there.
5. Plans and pitches
A plan you post must be real: something you intend to do, at the time you said, needing the company you asked for. Posting a plan you don't intend to keep breaks these terms.
Sending a pitch shares your profile with that plan's host. Hosts choose freely among the pitches they receive; a spot filling up is not a judgment on anyone. Exact meeting spots are shared only after a host accepts a pitch — keep them inside the plan's chat.
6. Meeting safely
First meets happen in public places — a hawker centre, a trailhead, a gallery foyer. Tell someone you trust where you're going.
Keen's vetting and screening reduce risk; they cannot remove it, and we cannot verify everything members tell us or each other. Use your own judgment, and leave any situation that feels wrong.
7. Show up
Plans are promises with a time attached. Confirm or call off in good time.
Your show-up record — plans completed, and whether you showed — is part of how Keen works and is visible to members you interact with. Repeated no-shows or late cancellations may end your membership.
8. Your content
What you post stays yours. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt (for example, resizing a photo) and display it as needed to operate the service — including showing the public parts of a live plan to people who aren't signed in.
You're responsible for what you post. It must be lawful, yours to share, and must not include another person's personal data or likeness without their permission. We may remove content that breaks these terms.
9. House rules
Be the person your pitch says you are. The following end accounts:
Harassment, hate, threats, or sexual content directed at anyone who hasn't welcomed it. Unlawful, dangerous or misleading plans. Commercial activity — selling, advertising, recruiting or promoting — without our written permission. Scraping, automated access, or probing or disrupting the service. Collecting members' personal or contact details beyond what a plan needs. Ignoring a plan's intent tag — a plan tagged friends is exactly that.
10. Moderation and suspension
Keen is a kept noticeboard, not an open wall. We may remove listings or pitches, restrict features, and suspend or end accounts at our discretion, with or without notice — including for behavior that breaks the spirit of these terms rather than their letter, and for reported behavior at meetups.
Where practical, we'll tell you what happened and listen if you think we got it wrong.
11. Fees
Keen is free during the pilot. If that ever changes, we'll say so clearly and in advance — nothing becomes paid without your agreement.
12. Disclaimers
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent permitted by Singapore law, we make no warranties, express or implied, about the service — including its availability, accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose — or about any member or plan.
13. Limits on our liability
To the extent permitted by Singapore law: we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profits, data or goodwill; and our total liability to you for all claims combined is capped at the higher of what you have paid us in the past 12 months and S$100.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded under Singapore law — including liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.
14. Indemnity
If someone brings a claim against us arising from your content, your conduct, or your breach of these terms, you'll cover the losses and reasonable costs we incur as a result.
15. Ending your account
You can leave any time from settings; your account closes immediately and your data is handled as the privacy policy describes. We can end or suspend accounts as section 10 describes.
Sections 8 and 12 to 17 survive the end of an account.
16. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service evolves. For material changes we'll give notice on the site or by message before they take effect; using the service after that means you accept the updated terms. The date above is the current version's.
17. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, and the courts of Singapore have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of them or the service.
18. Contact
Questions about these terms: message the Keen bot on Telegram — a human answers.
